– A stamp on a Russian soldier's military ID after he refused to fight in Ukraine

A private in the Russian military received a disparaging stamp on his military ID after he refused to go to Ukraine and participate in Russia's invasion. He was also discharged from the military.

Later, his unit sought, through the Ryazan garrison military court, to have the stamp removed, as the stamp has made it difficult for the ex-soldier to get a job.

His lawyer is demanding cancellation of his marred record, calling the stamp illegal and in violation of his rights. The court is scheduled to review the claim on July 20.

Since the start of the war, there have been multiple cases of soldiers who have protested the invasion.
