Three people were arrested in Moscow for protesting against surveillance on the Russian internet. They blocked the entrance of the building of Roskomnadzor, the government agency responsible for overseeing communications. The participants of the protests were charged with "hooliganism."

On February 12, Mikhail Chuyanov, Grigory Shakirov, and Kirill Krivyak staged a protest blocking the internet regulator's entrance. The protestors hung a bicycle lock and a poster with slogans against the state agency. The protesters were immediately arrested and sentenced to 15 days in jail for "disobeying police officers."

The three men are supporters of the National Bolshevik party, "The Other Russia of E.V. Limonov," founded by the late writer and opposition figure Edward Limonov. Chuyanov, Shakirov, and Krivyak participated in the "Give Us Internet Without Restrictions - Russia without Roskomdisgrace" protest initiative organized by the Nazbol party.

On February 28, the Telegram channel "National Human Rights Defense" reported that the activists had not yet been released from prison. The page claimed that Chuyanov, Shakirov, and Krivyak had been beaten and denied an attorney.
