After Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities on October 10-11, a crowdfunding appeal was made. Within 24 hours, nearly $10 million was raised for the Ukrainian army to purchase "kamikaze" drones.

The money will be used to purchase 50 II Ram drones. The drones, created by a Ukrainian company, are unmanned and carry a three-kilogram explosive payload. In addition, three control stations will be built with the raised funds.

The drone's flight range is approximately 300 km, or 186 miles, and recent reports have shown them to be highly effective. In a recently posted video, the drones are seen destroying a Russian 9K33 Osa surface-to-air missile system, estimated to cost over $700,000.

Russia has been using similar "kamikaze" drones, as the conflict has continued to escalate. Many argue that their use has been indiscriminate.
