Boris Dralyuk

BORIS DRALYUK holds a Ph.D. in Slavic Languages and Literatures from University of California, Los Angeles. His work has appeared in a variety of journals, including The New Yorker, The Times Literary Supplement, and World Literature Today. He has translated and co-translated several volumes of poetry and prose from Russian and Polish and is co-editor, with Robert Chandler and Irina Mashinski, of the forthcoming Penguin Book of Russian Poetry (Penguin Classics, 2015). His translation of Isaac Babel’s Red Cavalry was published by Pushkin Press. He received first prize in the 2011 Compass Translation Award competition and, with Irina Mashinski, first prize in the 2012 Joseph Brodsky / Stephen Spender Translation Prize competition.
