Anne Marie Jackson

Anne Marie Jackson lived in both Russia and Moldova in the 1990s. In Moldova, she was once shot dead by Chechen rebels in a Russian film. She studied translation at University College London and has since translated works by Maxim Osipov, Alexei Nikitin and Nadezhda Teffi, among others. She is the editor of Subtly Worded and Other Stories by Teffi, published by Pushkin Press in 2014.
