I took this shot in July 2018, during Russia’s hosting of the World Cup football tournament. The whole world was watching what was happening here in Russia – watching the football teams of course, but also the fans and how they lived.
I wanted to show how simple people were enjoying this moment in an easily identifiable place.
I am an amateur photographer and started with photography about four years ago during a trip to St. Petersburg. I wanted to bring back some travel photos and share them with my family and friends. Since then, I have understood that our country is an inexhaustible source of inspiration for photographers.
