Torzhok can be reached by car from Moscow (145 miles) or from St. Petersburg (444 miles). It is also well served by trains and buses. The nicest hotel in town is the Tvertsa, on Tverskaya Embankment, 26, ph. +7 (4825) 19-27-08.
