35 reviews of Six vodka

Actually, this is a reasonably smooth, drinkable vodka at a bargin price (under $11 at an Osco near me!), but beware! The bottle is sealed with a cork. After buying several bottles, I finally opened one that had "corked" like a bottle of wine, making it undrinkable. Plus, having a cork makes it almost impossible to put in the freezer. The cork breaks when opened. Knowing what I know now, I probably won't buy again. Pity.

Good vodka, comparable to Kettle or Absolut for 2/3 the price. About the cork top, so what. If you wait till it breaks from the freezer, than you don't know how to make or drink martinis.

Purchased 2 bottles from Albertsons on sale for $9 something. First bottle great. Second bottle tastes bad. Like corky/keggy.

Six is the best vodka for the money. My wife and I love great vodkas and often spend many times the $10 price -- and Six holds its own easliy. The cork has not caused us any problems yet. Acutally, all of the good vodkas we buy have corks. Question: why the yellow tint?

Cheap Vodka, Cheap Price... Stick with Stoli or Skyy or Absolut, Bad headache next morning.

open the bottle before you freeze six, because the cork will freese if not.
Reviewer: Paul Goodman | Score: 3

Definately one of the better vodkas out there. I would still recommend Ketel One or Absolut over Six, but in a pinch it fits the bill.
Reviewer: Ryan | Score: 3

Not the best, but you cannot beat this vodka for the price. Always $9.99-$10.99 at Albertsons. Equally comparable to Skyy or Smirnoff Triple Distilled at 2/3 the cost. Oh, and the yellow tint is caused the cork. To be avoided.

Bellevedere/Chopin it ain't, but @ 9.99 a bottle you can't beat it. Their Mandarin is great for screwdrivers.

Who cares about the cork? At $6.99 at Savon it's as good as Absolut. I just taste tested back to back. So what if some gets tossed? Try the raspberry with fresh berry's instead of vermouth. Certainly not Grey Goose, but not bad, especially for the money.

Excellent for inexpensive vodka. Have not had any problems with the cork. Disconcerting that the citrus "clouded" in the freezer, but rest assured it's okay. Have only had the citrus and the vanilla. Vanilla is to be avoided AT ALL COST. I finally choked it down in an interesting mix with jagermeister, but straight I'm just not into drinking cheap perfume.
Reviewer: Brandy Alexandre | Score: 4

Can't beat the price. Of course, it is not Gray Goose, but it makes a decent martini and a more than decent bloody mary. It is as good as Skyy and Finlandia and is a bit cheaper

Just to let everyone know, Six Vodka is Albertsons dressed up name brand. You will only find it at Albertsons,Osco,Sav-on,Jewel and other Albertsons owned properties. Its nothing wonderful.

Well, after reading all the comments about Six Vodka, I've got to share my experience with it. I LOVE IT !! I've drank Belvidere, Chopin, Goose, level, etc.. Although not in the same class, it's close."for the money".

How can vodka turn to ice? I put this bottle into the freezer, and low and behold went back a few days later to find it almost frozen solid. 80 proof my arse. Mostly water.
Reviewer: Diggles | Score: 1

Not bad for inexpensive Vodka. I only tried the Vanilla. I actually like the cork and the feel of the bottle. As far as similar priced vodkas I would give it a 4.
Reviewer: CJ | Score: 2

I give Six a 4 because it is only a step below the top Vodkas for only a fraction of the price. As far as the cork, anybody who drinks good Vodka knows the majority of them have corks. I store my six in the freezer and have yet to have it freeze. For the price its the best.

If you want decent cheap vodka, stick with Smirnoff or similar. From reading some of the reviews, it seems I must have bought one of the new bottles of Six since they switched from corks to caps. Unfortunately the vodka leaks out of the cap due to an engineering flaw. I think that's why it was on sale even cheaper (6.99 750ml). I saw and smelled vodka that had spilled and dried on one of the vanilla bottles on the shelf and thought nothing of it until my car started reeking. Now the quality! Not good! Why did I even try?!I had a headache well before I called it a night let alone wake up. I'd rather have had a swift kick in the nards. I bought this thinking it was a introductory marketing price & thought I would gamble. Lost. Best vodka? Triple Eight. huh?

I rate in this order Stoli Six Finlandia Sky Smirnoff Boru And there are times I prefer six to all else. It is a shame CVS bought out Osco around here. Now I can no longer get Six

It's average. I have always liked Kettle One, then recently had Grey Goose. Love the Grey Goose. I tried the Six (from Albertson's), because it was on sale. My bottle has a screw-on cap -- no cork. It's average. Nothing great at all, and it actually gives me a stomach ache.

This is the best drink for the money if you don't want a hangover. I love it! I wouldn't waste my money on anything else. I don't know what the cork is all about. I had a screw off top. People who say it's trash don't know s&*t. Have a nice day! ~D

Went to Albertson's to buy some fish and found Six.... not bad in my opinion. Since I mainly drink shots of booze after work it goes down fairly smooth. Even have to compare to Smirnoff. Rates even with it. Years ago drank Absolut but for the price it's Six or Smirnoff from now one - whichever is on sale!!! HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

I really enjoy six vodka. I have tried all the available flavors and think that for the money it is a great vodka. To my palate it is smooth enough for shots and the flavors are great for mixing cocktails. I just saw the premium version they came out with and look forward to trying it.

I am a vodka drinker and mostly high-end names. Chopin is one of the closest to it but there is another that is right there with it that is closer to $50 a bottle. The name is on the tip of my tougue. Never the less Six is by far the best vodka I've had under $50 to date. I am bitter however, when Albertsons changed Six from a low to a high end vodka on the shelves, jacked the price to $20 in stead of $10, and changed the bottle.... That hurt!! I'll still by it b/c of the smoothness, but with the price of it now and the fact that Smirnov is up to 3 distillations, their flavored vodkas may be better for my parties.
Reviewer: Aaron | Score: 5

By far the best vodka on the market when comparing quality and price. Originally picked a bottle up for it's supposed six times distilled. It claims a six step distillation process? What ever the case, very smooth and never a hangover. No spirits in similar price range even come close.

I just tried Six today, I found it at the Cub foods liqour store for $11.99, before tax. It's not bad for the price. I put it up there with other mid-priced vodkas like Sobieski and Olifant.

Bought six recently, tried it and it was actually good. Better then Smiroff, and smooth like Gray Goose. Not better then Rodnik.

Im in love with the vinilla and agree the cork sucks but now a small problem....I live in Clearwater florida and i hear albertsons has sold out to Publix and publix is only keeping the propertys and about 50 stores.....anyone else carry SIX??

Hmmm. My 750ml bottle didn't have a cork. Good Vodka. Great price at Albertson's. My partner is a big fan of Kettle One. I can't wait to get his opinion.

I enjoy drinking SIX as much as I enjoy Absolute. It's very smooth and at a great price. I live in the midwest and usually buy it at Jewel Osco for about $15.00. I have never bought a bottle of SIX that has had a cork in it.

This is, hands down, the best tasting vodka I've had under $50. Smooth and clean enough to drink straight by the shot and also makes a wonderful mixed drink. I've had both the corked and capped version and have been delighted by both. When you buy vodka for about $12 a bottle, you expect crap. This is a shockingly pleasant surprise. My friends who are Ketel and Absolut drinkers actually prefer the Six. Can't match the quality, taste and smoothness for double or triple the price.

Does anyone know if they still make or where you can buy Six Pear vodka? It's amazing!

Just purchased the new Kirkland American Vodka from Costco. This is actually Six Vodka the same way the Kirkland bottle with the red striped bottom is Grey Goose. OK for mixers, harsh after taste and I've had a mild headache all day after having several cocktails last night. For the price of $13 its fine for a party but not for a realy tasty cocktail.

Six vodka is one of the best tasting vodkas I have tried the only one I think is better is XO. Six is super smooth I was buying it in Vegas all the time but since I've been in Milwaukee I can't find it which really sssucks
