Her story in this issue is excerpted from her memoirs, Shards of a Mirror, a memoir about her father, the poet Arseny Tarkovsky, and her older brother, the film director Andrei Tarkovsky. It was published in Russia by Daedalus (1999) and reissued by Vagrius (2006). Tarkovskaya is also the author of book About Tarkovsky and is editing upcoming collections of her father's poetry.
