LEV SOBOLEV holds the esteemed rank of an Honored Teacher of the Russian Federation and has been teaching for over 30 years at one of Russia’s most elite high schools, from whence his students have gone on to become respected philogists, journalists and writers. In addition to his teaching work, Lev regularly writes on literature and the theater and produces student plays (including, in recent years, Three Sisters, The Cherry Orchard, and The Seagull) which are acclaimed for being anything but amateur productions.
