FYODOR TYUTCHEV (1803-1973) was one of the greatest Russian romantic poets. Many Russians consider himto be third greatest in their poetic pantheon, after Pushkin and Lemontov. Even so, his personal experiences (multiple love affairs) and metaphysical worldview led him to create several masterpieces of Russian romantic poetry.
