DMITRY SHEVCHENKO graduated from Kuban State University with a psychology degree and has been a journalist since 2004. His articles have appeared in Rossiyskaya Gazeta, Izvestiya, Kommersant, and Novaya Gazeta, among others. His primary topics of interest are human rights, environmental protection and sustainable development. He recently wrote a series of articles investigating the social causes and effects of poaching in the Azov sea. He lives in Krasnodar.
