Kenneth Lantz is Professor Emeritus of Slavic Languages and Literatures at the University of Toronto and a specialist in nineteenth-century Russian literature. He is the author of The Dostoevsky Encyclopedia (Westport, CT: Greenwood Press, 2004). His translation of Dostoevsky’s Writer’s Diary was awarded the AATSEEL Translation Prize for 1993. He is currently translating a collection of memoirs of survivors of Stalin’s Gulag.
