Olga Povoroznyuk is a graduate student in the Department of the Peoples of the North, at Moscow's Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology. She fell in love with the Evenk people after working for three years as a Russian-English interpreter for an international anthropological expedition to Northern Chita Province.
